Since his completion of graduate studies of Environmental Engineering from National Taiwan University, Mr. Po-Hung YEH has participated in environmental impact assessment for various projects. He joined Sinotech in November 2002. His positive working attitude has won him clients’ trust and appreciation. He has participated and led several projects relevant to environment engineering and provided a sound foundation on Taiwan’s environmental protection.
His contributions to environmental engineering are the following: 1. Carrying out dioxin investigation and control of government designated toxic industrial wastes. This has contributed to the establishment of dioxin baseline, end of pipeline-control, and source reduction of domestic industrial waste. 2. Unify the removal and disposal cost of general wastes, trial of using internet for activity reporting. Through studying, analyzing and evaluating the feasibility of per-bag fee collection system, reflecting removal and disposal cost, a sound foundation of polluter-pays principle was established and eventually became the government policy. 3. Actively participating in planning, evaluation, and technical verification of incinerated ash recycling; feasibility study of building incinerators; aiming at promoting zero waste and recycling of incinerated ash. 4. Planning and establishing of Dioxin Integrated Information Management System, and pollution notification and response system to strengthen information circulation about dioxin in Taiwan.
Mr. Yeh has won the trust of his clients and supervisors. Having diligent working attitude, he posses technical expertise and is good at using on-line resources to master information and implement projects with a systematic and analytical mind he performed his work with efficiency and accuracy. He has set a good example for other young engineers. |
